Employees are provided financial assistance under the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and underinsured person welfare scheme.

ESIC has reported this by tweeting. "The loss of employment does not mean loss of income," the tweet said. 

ESIC pays monthly cash for a limit of 24 months in case of involuntary loss of employment or permanent disability due to non-employment.
